About us

He Tāwharau is our new mental health crisis respite service located alongside Hawkes Bay Hospital, as part of a wider hub of services

What you’ll do

• Provide supervision and support to whaiora in our newly created 6 bed Crisis Respite Hub 
• Support whaiora with therapeutic engagement and daily living
• Monitor well-being and maintain a warm, whānau focused recovery environment

This is a 24/7 essential service with rostered hours. These positions are full-time permanent.

Candidates will need:

• Level 4 Mental Health Certificate or similar 
• Experience working with whaiora experiencing mental health issues
• Be empathetic, self-aware and have the ability to build a good rapport 
• Team player within a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Commitment to excellence and professional development
• A Full Driver’s License
