Social Worker – Nga Tini Whetu
Nga Tini Whetu is a whānau centered early support initiative aimed at lifting child and whānau wellbeing and resilience.
Working with high needs, complex whānau in challenging situations who are hapu or have preschool tamariki. This service demonstrates how a Whānau Ora approach and decentralised support models engaged early on can reduce the likelihood of tamariki entering the care of Oranga Tamariki.
You will work with other TToH services and agencies to provide a multi-faceted support to lift the whānau into a sustainable position of wellbeing and stability.
In this role you will have your own caseload as well as support the other Kaiarahi/Navigators in the team with the more complex whānau situations. You will provide Social Work oversight and input into safety assessments, develop plans and set goals and aspirations to support the whānau social needs, health and wellbeing.
Suitable candidates will have:
· A Social Worker qualification and current registration
· Experience working successfully with whānau in tough situations with multiple challenges.
· Experienced working with whānau particularly mama and pēpi
· Experience writing and preparing reports
· Knowledge of Te Reo Māori me ona Tikanga Māori
· Full Drivers license
