Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our thriving and forward-thinking health and social services organisation. As a Ngāti Kahungunu mandated, Kaupapa Māori organisation, we are dedicated to serving our community along the East Coast of the North Island. This role is based at our Hauora Heretaunga in Hastings.

At Hauora Heretaunga, our Foundation-accredited teaching practice, focuses on delivering exceptional, evidence-based primary care services to our diverse patient population of nearly 6,500 individuals. Operating within the Health Care Homes framework, we prioritise addressing inequities and improving the health outcomes of our most vulnerable populations, particularly in the dimensions of Māori Health.

One of our core strengths lies in our collaborative approach to providing holistic care. As part of our integrated team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a range of professionals, including Administrators, Whānau Manaaki, Registered Nurses, Nurse Prescribers, Nurse Practitioners, a Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist, On-site Dispensing Pharmacists, a Health Coach, a Health Improvement Practitioner, and General Practitioners with diverse backgrounds. This includes GPEP trainees, RNZCGP Fellows, Overseas Trained General Practitioners, and Locums. 

Being part of the larger organisation of Taiwhenua, it also means we have access to a wide array of health and social services on site to offer additional support to whanau including but not limited to Housing, Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Dental, Tamariki Ora, and School-based Nursing Teams .

We are looking for 1.3 FTE Nurse Practitioners to join our team.  Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm. Ideally we would like candidates to work at least 0.5 FTE. (20 hours) or 3 days a week).  We are open to Nurse Practitioners being Employees, Contractors or Locums. Whatever suits you best !
