Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH) is well respected, health and social services provider, supporting our local community in Hawkes Bay and whanau throughout the East Coast of the North Island.  Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully with whanau for over 30 years.  

We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion for mental health and helping our whanau in our community.  This is a full-time, permanent role working, 8.30am to 5pm, Mon to Friday.

Reporting to the Team Manager in our Oranga Hinengaro/Mental Wellness team based in Orchard Road, Hastings site, you will work in a team of multi-disciplinary professionals, to provide health and wellness support to our whaiora in our community. 

This is a great opportunity to work with whanau who are unwell and living in our community. We provide mental health support using kaupapa Maori values and deliver mental health support differently.

Suitable candidates for this community-based role, will be Registered Nurses with a current practicing certificate with experienced in community mental health.  The ability to be assertive and non-judgmental, along with the ability to work with a sense of compassion and the ability to relate to all walks of life is also essential.    

You will also need:

· Knowledge of the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of whanau support

· A full and clean driver's license (TToH vehicles used for community visits)
