Health Promoter - CHB

We’re seeking a passionate and talented individual to be part of our Community Health team, providing educational support to whānau, helping them to achieve their goals through delivery of programmes, referrals to services and guiding them to independence.

Located in our Central Hawkes Bay hub in Waipukurau and reporting to Team Manager – CHB. You will coordinate and facilitate various programs focused on healthy lifestyles, aligned with national health promotion initiatives. 

We seek a reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate kaimahi who shares our vision to enhance the wellbeing of whānau in the Central Hawkes Bay community.

 We are looking for 

  • Strong relationship-building and motivational skills
  • Experience in supporting individuals and whānau
  • Confident, friendly, and effective communicator
  • Empathy and rapport with diverse communities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical databases
  • Non-smoker and physically active
  • Proficiency in Te Reo and understanding of tikanga
  • Local community connections
  • A positive attitude, uses initiative, proactive and self-motivated

Qualification

  • Full, clean driver’s license
  • Certificate in Health Promotion or similar (desirable)
