Homecare Support Workers - Hastings & Napier

This role is for you.
The Role
We are looking for carers who can work during the week and at least part of a Saturday or a Sunday.
Most cares are provided between the hours of 8am to 11am and 4pm to 6pm, 7 days a week.
We do also provide welfare checks and medication supervision which generally happen in the middle of the day.
We have mahi available in Napier and Hastings and will schedule mahi in the town that you live in.
We have permanent hours available from 10 - 20 hours per week.
We also have a Fixed Term role covering Parental Leave for 1 year working 10 - 20 hours per week.
We are also looking to increase our pool of casuals who can provide cover for our permanent staff, particularly on the weekends.
You will need your own reliable vehicle to travel from client to client.
We pay at the Pay Equity Hourly rates plus a travel allowance which covers travel costs and the time it takes to travel between clients.
We use Carecall and Remote worker apps for rostering, whānau care plans and electronic timesheets. A reasonable level of computer and technology skills is required as we use email, Mobile phones and Apps to keep in contact with you. Full training on how to use Care Call will be provided.
Key tasks :
· Supervise showering, dressing and other personal cares
· Help with household cleaning to a high standard
· Meal preparation
· Medication support
· Welfare checks
About You:
We are looking for applicants who have:
· A Current First Aid Certificate
· Level 2, 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate
. Hoist training experience [ideally]
· Full Drivers License
· Own reliable vehicle
· Excellent reliability and work ethic
· Understanding of Tikanga and Te Reo Māori or willingness to learn
· Enthusiasm, energy, initiative and a high degree of flexibility
· Whakawhānaungatanga - able to make connections with the whānau we work with
