Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a whānau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation. We have been supporting our whānau me hapori to achieve their aspirations and general wellbeing for more than 40 years. We are one of NZ's largest kaupapa Māori health and social services organisations.
Underpinning it all are our organisational values – Kotahitanga, Whakamana, Kaitiakitanga and Whanaungataunga, which are woven through everything we do.
About us:
Hauora Heretaunga is a Bronze Cornerstone Accredited Teaching practice that aims to deliver quality, evidence-based primary care services to our population of almost 7000 patients using the Health Care Homes framework. We are a high-needs clinic, committed to improving equity in our Māori and Pacifica populations . We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach to delivering holistic care with an integrated team approach to wrap around care.
Our practice is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm. We are looking for GPs to work 0.8 FTE [32 hours] week.
Or at least a minimum of 0.6 FTE [24 hours] per week.
We are an Accredited Employer with the NZ Department of Immigration.

Our Teams:
As part of our integrated model of care, you will work with team made up of Clinical and Non-Clinical staff. Reporting to the GP - Clinical Lead, you will be supported by our very experienced Hauora Leadership team and a committed, experienced, professional practice workforce.
Being part of the wider Taiwhenua health and services organisation, we also have access to the many services delivered on site including Oranga Niho (Dental), Tamariki Ora, School-based Nursing Teams, Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol and Housing. Our Hauora service is also supported by our professional corporate teams of Quality and Risk, Health and Safety, Support Services, HR, IT, Finance, Marketing and Communications.
