TToH is a Ngāti Kahungunu mandated, kaupapa Māori values-based health and social services organisation providing services to our community along the East Coast of the North Island, from Mahia to Rimutaka. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully for whanau for over 37 years. 

We are looking for two Finance Assistants to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an energetic team player, with an engaging personality and strong communication skills. We need someone who is proactive, extremely organised, has an ability to problem-solve, and who pays meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. We are a close team and you will need to be able integrate well with the team and feel comfortable to support and direct others within the team. 

The roles are full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, based at our large site in Orchard Road, Hastings. One of the roles is permanent and the other is fixed-term for at least 6 months in order to provide backfill while we work on our new Business Central project. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Accounts payable and associated reporting
  • Accounts receivable and associated reporting
  • Cash management 
  • Month end GL reconciliations and journals
  • General financial queries 

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience in a Finance/Accounts Administrator role or similar
  • Experience working with Xero accounting software and application partners
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Māori me ona Tikanga Māori 
  • Proven experience working effectively with Māori organisations 
  • An understanding of the Principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
