Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga – Rimutaka Prison
The role involves guiding and supporting Tane following their Drug Treatment Programme (DTP), either while still in Prison, transferring to another Prison or being released.
Navigating, counselling, helping connect with whanau and helping Tane build on the mahi they have completed in the programme are all part of this rewarding role.
We are looking for someone familiar with AOD treatment, understands reintegration and the challenges of personal change. You will have knowledge of community support available and can navigate the various agencies and services to the benefit of Tane and whanau.

To be successful in this role, you would:
It would be helpful to understand individual and group behaviour, and / or have a relevant tertiary education in psychology, addictions, social work, counselling or education. The Aftercare Worker role requires a minimum of Level 4 certification and/or previous experience in this or similar roles
